This is an In-the-round Sculpture/upcycled sculpture of a globe. The Earth is being held over a red flame and is getting burnt/destroyed by the heat. The Earth on the top is shrinking and finally giving way to the heat.
I used elements of design such as texture, color, and form. I think the texture is the most important in this sculpture. I use texture on the globe and flames at the bottom of the armature. I was inspired by Guerra de la Paz. I liked the colors in their sculptures and their use of recycling items to make art. I think we are wasting to many things and just burning and destroying them which is the meaning behind the piece. My piece is not functional. It is for people to see and interpret in many ways but in a way that is beneficial to the Earth. We should see every resource as something that can be used again. I like it because of the message it shows. I also think the message is made pretty clear through this piece and I think it looks pretty good too. I had a lot of fun making it even though there were a few slips during the creating process. |
